Your Obligations in Case of an Accident
If you have been involved in an accident, you need to:
- Take all steps to minimise damages
- Notify police immediately and obtain documentation
- Notify your insurer within 48 hours of the accident
- Provide: police report, driving licence, vehicle technical passport (talon), and technical inspection certificate
- Grant the insurer access to the vehicle if requested
After notification, the insurer must open a file, inspect damages within 5 working days, and complete payment — within 15 days for property damage, 10 days for bodily injury.
